Patientic Terms of Service
Last updated: May 15, 2026
Plain-English summary. Patientic helps you keep your health records organized. It is not a doctor and does not give medical advice. You own the records you put in. We try to keep the app running but make no guarantees. If you don't agree with these terms, don't use Patientic.
By using Patientic ("the app", "the Service") you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please stop using the app.
1. Who can use Patientic
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or legal guardian's permission. Parents and guardians managing health records for a child or other dependent are responsible for that person's privacy.
2. Your account
- You sign in with Apple or Google. You're responsible for keeping that underlying account secure.
- You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you put in Patientic.
- One human, one account. Don't create accounts for someone else without their permission. Dependents are not separate accounts — they're records you manage on behalf of someone else.
3. Medical disclaimer
Patientic is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Anything you read in Patientic — including community posts, research summaries, condition descriptions, and provider information — is for informational and organizational purposes only. Always consult a licensed healthcare professional with questions about a medical condition.
Patientic does not provide medical care, prescribe medication, or coordinate treatment. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
4. Your content
The records, notes, files, and other content you add to Patientic ("Your Content") belong to you. By using Patientic you grant us a limited license to store, display, transmit, back up, and otherwise process Your Content as needed to operate the Service. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except where we are required to retain certain information by law.
If you post in a community space, you grant Patientic and other community members a license to display that post within the community feature. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Patientic to harm yourself or others.
- Upload content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, contains malware, or is intended to harass or impersonate someone.
- Try to break, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Use automated tools to flood our APIs.
- Use Patientic to provide professional medical advice to others.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Communities
Community spaces are for peer support. Moderators may remove posts that violate community guidelines or these Terms. Information shared in communities is not medical advice. Patientic does not verify the credentials of community members, including moderators, unless explicitly stated.
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You may report any post, comment, or message you find objectionable, and you may block any user. We review reported content and remove content that violates these Terms — typically within 24 hours — and we may suspend or permanently remove users who post objectionable content or abuse others.
7. Third-party services and content
Patientic includes references to providers, conditions, and other catalog data sourced from public registries (e.g., CMS NPPES, Orphanet) and third parties. We try to keep the catalog accurate but make no warranty about its correctness. Provider listings are not endorsements.
Sign-in is provided by Apple and Google. Their terms apply when you use those services.
8. Fees
Patientic is free to use today. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you in-app before charging anything.
9. Termination
You can stop using Patientic at any time. Settings → Delete Account removes your account and associated records within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
10. Disclaimers
Patientic is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that Patientic or the servers that host it are free of viruses or other harmful components.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Patientic and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed USD 100 or the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months, whichever is greater.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Patientic harmless from any claims arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you in-app of material changes. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, except where prohibited by applicable law.
